Benefits

Members who will maintain their annual membership shall have the following benefits and privileges:

1. Expand linkages and networking with other professionals.
2. Enhance individual capacity development.
3. Access to AGIA trainings, events and activities.
4. Discounted membership fee and training fees to other internal audit/allied organizations in partnership with AGIA.
5. Opportunity to serve as AGIA Board of Director.
6. Chance to receive awards and incentives.

Note: All applications shall be filed online.

Instructions:

1. Access and accomplish AGIA Membership Application Online
2. After filling-up, click submit, after which AGIA’s acknowledgement email will be received by the applicant.
3. After evaluation has been made on the membership application, wait for confirmation email with payment details for payment of membership fee thru bank transfer.
4. Upon receipt of the email, the AGIA staff will evaluate the application and send a confirmation email for payment of membership fee thru bank transfer; Proof of payment shall be sent to agiamembership@gmail.com

Rights and Duties of Members

• Active members (regular and associate) have the right to vote and be elected as members of the Board of Directors, subject to the relevant provisions.
• Members shall abide by the By-Laws, Code of Ethics and rules and regulations that are duly promulgated by the AGIA.
• Members shall patronize all AGIA trainings and other related activities.
  
• Members shall religiously pay the membership dues.
• Payment of membership/annual dues shall be in accordance with existing Membership Guidelines duly approved by the AGIA Board of Directors.
• Membership in AGIA is on a calendar year basis, which is January 1 to December 31. However, expiration of Membership is every 28th day of February of the succeeding year.

As an AGIA Member, I shall:

• Faithfully and consistently observe the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. No. 6713);
• Abide by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association of Government Internal Auditors (AGIA), Inc.;
• Exercise independence, honesty, objectivity, and diligence in the performance of my duties and responsibilities;
• Show loyalty to the institution and to the public to whom I render services;
• Perform internal audit services and other related functions in accordance with the standards and acceptable practices;
• Be prudent in the use of information acquired in the course of my duties and neither use it for personal gain, for building or destroying public image of any official or employee, nor make any premature disclosure which might lead to speculations; and 
• Exercise all reasonable care in presenting information.
